Custom City Buttons and Magnets

Custom "City" Buttons and Magnets were introduced in April. There are 6 basic designs that can be customized with any city or store name in any color combinations.

I have been making these buttons for "Ann Arbor" for over a year and decided to include them in my wholesale catalog. It allows a store or boutique to create a unique item for their business without the high costs and high minimum quantities.

It's May?!

Wow, I realized that I haven't updated my Blog is weeks! Where has the time gone? And it isn't because there hasn't been tons to talk about either.

Despite the economy, sales are brisk and steady. I introduced a collection of pocket mirrors, created 12 new rectangle magnet designs, 16 new button designs and updated my catalog with ALL new products. Sample products and catalogs were then sent to my wonderful existing rep force throughout the U.S. Without the support of my sales team, Minds Eye Design wouldn't survive!

I placed an ad on Great Reps (.com) to increase my sales force in territories not already covered and now have representatives in Florida, Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin. Conversations are on-going with other sales teams and individuals in other territories as well so I hope to add to the list soon!

My project for this week will be choosing a POP (point of purchase) display unit for the POCKET MIRRORS so the stores are better able to merchandise them and increase sales. I love introducing new products and designs but the added responsibility is always finding packaging solutions and appropiate counter displays at an affordable price.

I love my job!

Inspired by Nature

I have been working on a new series of nature inspired pocket mirrors. I think the spring air has affected my creative soul!
I love the clean and elegant look of black and white images and quotes so the "Bird on a branch" mirror with the quote by Claude Monet is my personal fav!
As with most of my work, I include french words and sayings. "L'herbe verte" translates simply to "The green grass".
All are listed on my etsy page and available to ship asap!

Leaping Stag and Whimsical Bunny NOTEBOOK

I found this fun gift wrap paper and knew it would make such a groovy notebook!

Girls just wanna have fun!

Yesterday was super fun CRAFT DAY! While I spent the morning processing wholesale orders, I decided to take a well deserved break in the afternoon and make notebooks...just for fun. I went to one of my favorite paper stores to scout out some spring prints to use for the front covers and found this flowered paper with glitter details.
Pictured are three different sized notebook made for no reason at all but to just have fun and craft. OK, I did list them on my Etsy page but it was still just for the fun of it!

Life without a million dollar BONUS Magnet

The news is abuzz with talk of CEO's and their multi-million dollar bonuses while the rest of us are struggling to make ends meat. (is it "meet" or "meat? anyone?) I found this image in a vintage magazine for life insurance and it struck a cord with todays hot topics.
Most of my work is humorous but every once and a while I find a subject worth picking on!

Caffeine, do stupid things FASTER Magnet

Hi. My name is Hope and I am a CAFFEINE ADDICT! And I like it that way! No 12 step program for me, thank you very much. Without my morning cup o' joe I would unleash a world of CRANKY onto innocent suspects...and we don't want that now do we?!

She needed to REDUCE her ALCOHOL FOOTPRINT Magnet

And while I am giving credit where credit is due...another thank you to my friend, Bryan, for his words of wisdom used in this magnet.
I am sure we can all relate to this sentiment at one time or another! Ouch!
This and many more new designs are now available at my Etsy shop. www.mindseyecards.etsy.com

He thought he had MOJO, She thought he had NOJO MAGNET

A big thank you to my friend, Peter, for the inspirational words used in this magnet! Your sentiments will be used to hold up precious photos and "to-do" lists on fridge's across America for years to come! Ahhh, such is your legacy.

I need help with this design...

I need your help with this new magnet design. As you can see, I want it to have an unemployment theme, but I don't want to offend anyone! How dare I make fun of anyone unemployed in this economic downturn!

Please vote for which one of the designs is the LEAST OFFENSIVE...but funny of course!

Thanks!!!
